Got SCAP?

Boczenowski, Steve
Infosecurity E-review

Got SCAP” is a tag line we recently came up with to advertise MITRE’s Benchmark Development Course.  See below for a copy of the ad which went out through InfoSecurity – I think it’s pretty creative.

What’s the Benchmark Development Course?  It’s a free one-day course that has been developed by MITRE to explain our process for developing security benchmarks, which are referred to as SCAP-expressed checklists in NIST SP 800-117.  This course provides an overview of SCAP and all of the individual specifications within SCAP; and there are hands-on exercises with SCAP-related tools that have been developed by MITRE – all attendees receive a CD with copies of all the software used in the course.

We are currently planning to offer the course on 2 days in September: Sep 15 & 16.

For more information about the course, please visit our registration page: http://www.mitre.org/register2/benchmark/
